Race and Play in the French Alps with Team Uberfit!
Team Uberfit has reserved a great chalet in the Alp d' Huez region for the
last week in July (26 July, Sun, to 2 Aug, Sunday). T and I will be doing
the Alp de Huez long course triathlon on Wednesday, and the Olympic
distance race is the next day, Thursday. This is a beautiful region, a great
triathlon week, and the chalet and it's owner/chef is a treasure that we
want to share with friends and family! (we stayed there this past summer
for 4 days and loved it)
The chalet is on the border of Ecrins National park and the mountain
biking, hiking, and road bike rides are world class. And the Provence
region of France is less than 2 hours away. Believe me, the meals alone
are well worth the price of admission!
We need to fill the lodge to get this deal, which has the following
accomodations:
The cost for the week is only 480 Euro per person, and children are half-
price. Price includes transportation from the Grenoble airport, breakfast,
an afternoon pasta and cake snack, and last but not least, a delicious 3
course dinner with wine included. The name of the chalet is the Ecrins

the very nice hot tub on a beautiful deck, overlooking a rushing mountain
stream and the French Alps?
Assuming I do not expire from the triathlon, I hope to do a ride on Friday
and then a long ride on Saturday after the race, including the Col Galibier
and maybe one other.
I have the chalet reserved and would handle all of the fund collection and
payment. To save a spot, I would need a 100 Euro deposit per person,
with the remainder due by 31 May. If you are interested in coming, please
let us know! If we fill the lodge, it may also be possible to book cheaper
rooms in a nearby Dutch cycling hotel, so you could still race and party
with us!

- A room with a loft, sleeps four (perfect for close friends, couple
swappers, or a family) with a bathroom. - 2 Double rooms (one of the rooms has 2 single beds) with a
bathroom in each - A single room with a bathroom in the hallway
- A sleeper sofa which uses the bathroom in the hallway (reduced
rate of 380 Euro for 1-2 people sharing this sofa).
